In case of detection of victims of human trafficking, the Republic of Turkey has secured the support services to be provided to victims in accordance with Article 28 of the Regulation on Combating Human Trafficking and Protection of Victims.
Human trafficking is one of the most difficult and difficult forms of crime to detect.
In case of detection of victims of human trafficking, the Republic of Turkey has secured the support services to be provided to victims in accordance with Article 28 of the Regulation on Combating Human Trafficking and Protection of Victims. According to this assurance; During the reflection period provided to the victim, during the investigation and prosecution phases and afterwards, a victim support program is provided on the basis of information and consent, taking into account the victim’s safety, health and special situation.
In this scope ;
Services Provided by the Government of the Republic of Turkey to Victims of Human Trafficking • Voluntary and safe repatriation to one’s country or a third country
• Accommodation in shelters or safe places,
• Ensuring access to health services,
• Providing psycho-social support,
• Access to social services and benefits,
• Access to legal aid and counseling and information on victims’ legal rights,
• Guidance on access to education and training services,
• Providing support for vocational training and access to the labor market,
• Providing the necessary guidance on financial support in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 3294 on the Promotion of Social Assistance and Solidarity, dated 29/5/1986, in order to provide temporary financial support at a level that will meet their basic needs,
• Access to consultancy services that can be provided by relevant non-governmental organizations, international and intergovernmental organizations,
• Providing translation services,
• Providing information to the embassy or consulate of the country of citizenship, with consent,
• Providing the opportunity to meet with the embassy or consulate officials of the country of citizenship,
• Providing assistance with identification and obtaining travel documents
